Urban apartments on infill site
RIBA Stage 1-5 Client Design and Build
The site is located between the East Street Conservation Area, and an area known as Bedminster Green which is destined to see a significant change from a light industrial and warehousing area to a new residential quarter in the next decade.
Our proposals for Crown Developments provide 26 apartments in a building that responds to context, fourstoreys in height. Part uses a buff brick, with the remaining element finished in red brick. These are set against deep recesses and an attic storey executed in raised seam metal.
The new building is set at the back of pavement, creating a small communal garden area to the rear which opens to the south west, and afternoon sunshine.
The building has been designed with a communal heating system and provision to link to the future heat network.
